As part of my concept album, this track is to be sequenced between "Untitled (No Place Like Home)" and "The Lab".
The track is heavily influenced by the music of The Birthday Party; I specifically used the songs "Nick the Stripper" and "Junkyard" as examples.
The song is entirely in 5/4 time. The recording is assembled from two incomplete takes; the first was recorded at my Saturday music program with me playing electric guitar and singing, while the second was recorded at home. I overdubbed electric bass, piano, electric and acoustic guitars and drum machine on the recording.
On my vocals, I was attempting to channel Nick Cave's drug-affected state at the time.
