This is about going to my VET music course on Thursdays, which is at a different school to my own.
The music was recorded at the "studio" in the UpBeat Music Program at the Visy Cares Hub, with all of the elements being recorded separately. The "banjo" is actually a Yamaha keyboard set to the banjo voice.
lyrics
Jarrod: "You can record whenever you want. What were you gonna say?"
Edward: You're gonna call out the chords?"
Jarrod: "Nah, it'll get picked up on the mic."
Edward: "Alright, just roll with it."
"Uh, take 2."
So I'm sitting here in a classroom
Not at my own school, but at another
Guitars, drums and pianos all around
The amount of them is sure to astound
Friends gathered around the table
To play and sing, of course we're able
Full of energy, it's a nice atmosphere
It's so wonderful to be here
Some classmates play instruments,
Others use backing tracks
As time goes on, they get stronger
With each and every attack
Friends gathered around the table
To play and sing, of course we're able
Full of energy, it's a nicer atmosphere
It's so glad to be here
Now, I start to miss my old music teacher
He's still there, but can't be my teacher
For I've chosen my own path of education
He and my new teachers are under separation
I'm a timid guy, but can express myself
Leave my worries all up on the shelf
The new friends surely can't beat the old
Through my music, my story is being told
Friends gathered around the table
To play and sing, of course we're able
Full of energy, it's a nicer atmosphere
It's so glad to be here
