As part of my concept album, this song follows on from "Untitled (No Place Like Home)" and its reprise.
The song is about the actual performances for the Wizard of Oz, unlike the prior songs which are about the rehearsals.
The track quotes from several songs from both The Wizard of Oz and the Wiz, namely "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (opening melody), "I'm a Mean Ole Lion" (rhythm and chords) and "If I Only Had a Brain" (rhythm and chords). I hope I don't get into any copyright troubles for this.
The opening sound of a crowd was downloaded from freesound.org.

On the edge of reality
We find birds who sing to thee
The line between fantasy and real life
Is heavily blurred, with their strife

The entire band remains faceless
The spotlight shines on the singers' graces
Everyone's rehearsed the parts completely
Skyrocketing all the way past our apogee

We're witnessing scenes from the Wizard of Oz
Being dangerously close to the stage
The audience cheers at the end of every act
At the top of our game; is that a fact?

We see the actors and singers that we know
They're in character, we can't stop the show
Laughing at the funny moments, gasping at the bad
I'm sure there's some fun to be had

The actors left the stage, the lights are dimmed
Clothed in darkness, eternity and the cold wind
With their makeup washed off; they're only themselves
Costumes all left there on the shelves

On the edge of reality

We'll perform until the world ends
