about

As part of my concept album, this song is to be sequenced between "McDonald's Soundwalk" and "A Rainy Day in the City".
The soundwalk that takes up the first 40 seconds was actually (secretly) recorded at Hungry Jacks in Brimbank. One guy had an outburst; he was throwing his helmet at the rubbish bins and pulled the card payment machine out of the socket. After swearing at the employees, he was demanded to leave.
The lyrics are about carelessly buying and consuming fast food, which makes sense given its track placement.

The main track comes from a live performance of the song at the Visy Cares Hub in Brimbank. The saxophone near the end of the song comes from the first recorded version of the song, which was recorded on my phone; it is overlaid on top of the live track.

lyrics

Filth factory spews out feeble food
Shaped into the form of McDonald's meals
Fresh from the kitchen, here's my lunch
Tasty fries and burgers packs a big punch

Refreshing Coca-Cola; delicious liquid
The fast food is honestly quite addictive
Satisfies my hunger with tantalising taste
Unfortunately the calories inflate my waist

The comfort food makes me forget my worries
Or disregard the fact I might be in a hurry
Eating inside the restaurant on my own
Or getting take-away in the comfort of my home

Refreshing Coca-Cola; delicious liquid
The fast food is honestly quite addictive
Satisfies my hunger with tantalising taste
Unfortunately the calories inflate my waist

Yes, you know none of it is good for me
And too much of it is wasting our money
Sometimes it gives me a bad sickness
If it doesn't, it contributes to it

Refreshing Coca-Cola; delicious liquid
The fast food is honestly quite addictive
Satisfies my hunger with tantalising taste
Unfortunately the calories inflate my waist
