This song is about being on the autism spectrum. I've hinted at social awkwardness (a trait in this) in some of my songs, but this is the first time I've actually touched on this in a song.

The song was written in 2020. I recorded this on my Android phone singing and playing my Yamaha PSR EW400. The recording is from the 6th of January 2022.

There's a vacant look in my eyes

When I converse with others
The road abruptly stops

To behave just like you

I'm on the outside, looking inside
Don't fret if I don't look you in the eye
What can I say to keep the ball rolling?

My interests linger on specific topics
I like to play games and piano
Anyone would go insane, but I wouldn't mind
Talking about the same band all the time
We just vibe and roll with it

I don't want to make you feel weird
Do my intentions, do they
Do they get lost in the translation?

Don't perceive me as an outsider
I'm not like everybody else
