I wrote this after reading the prompt about "rooms". I was inspired by the music of Daniel Johnston, specifically the chord progression of the song "Hey Joe" [not related to the Jimi Hendrix/The Leaves song of the same name].
This is one of a few instances where music came before lyrics. Usually I work the other way around.

I sit amidst the grey, washed-out walls
I laugh at the news that happened
