This song is a part of my concept album Talk to Me, about communication. This was actually the earliest song written for the project, written in February 2018.
The instrumentation was recorded at the UpBeat Music Program at the Visy Cares Hub in Sunshine, from November 2018 to February 2019. The instruments were recorded separately.
My uni friend Mazzy sings lead vocals, whilst I sing backing vocals. The lead and backing vocals were recorded on Soundtrap in July 2021.

The song was written for a girl from my high school - a singer named Zoe. I had asked her to sing on it and she initiallly agreed, but later said she wasn't able to do it due to schoolwork and other commitments. Regardless, I think of her when I listen to this song.
