about

I wrote this song in 2015, using the PDF "How to Write a Hit Rock Song in 1 Hour". The lyrics are inspired by Beatles love songs.
My schoolmate Anne sings while I play piano. This was recorded at St Albans Secondary College in one of the music rooms.
Recorded 09/11/2015.

lyrics

How long have I been alone?
The tears that I have cried were so many
But I heard your voice when I picked up the phone
Is this the life that was meant to be?

Somewhere far, far away
Your singing fills the air
When I’m with you, nothing else matters
As long as I have you there

Honey, believe me when I say I love you
Please don’t leave me alone
Your smile melts my heart
And I don’t want us to be apart

You kiss me and all my troubles disappear
I’m always glad when you’re near
The shine in your eyes attracts me
Together we can feel so free

Chorus

And I have crossed several long roads
But many times, my pained heart broke
I want you to understand me
Oh, I’m begging on my knees

We laugh and cry, and your lips taste of wine
And I know deep inside that you’re mine
You’re asking me if I can play the game
And not hide away in shame

Chorus (2x)
