This song was written for February Album Writing Month 2019.
In July 2018 I met the singer-songwriter Rebecca Barnard, who is my voice teacher at Victoria University. Years ago, I had heard about her because her band Rebecca's Empire covered a TISM song, but when I met her in person I didn't realise she was a (minor) celebrity until I looked her up on Google and found her Wikipedia article, and I was astonished to say the least.

The idea of the song is that celebrities have personal lives just like ordinary people.

The chord progression, rhythm and tempo are taken from the instrumental "Once There Were Willows" by Dan-O at danosongs.com

The acoustic guitar was recorded on my Android phone, recorded to a click track using nTrack 9. The vocals were also recorded in this manner, and spliced from multiple takes. Since the recordings were in mono, I applied the "Stereo Touch" VST plugin in Mixcraft which provided simulated stereo effects.
